The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Office for Interoperability and Compatibility (OIC) has been a long-time sponsor of PSCR research projects. PSCR's work with DHS has direct impacts on best practices and technologies available to, and used by, first responders throughout the nation. It also produces valuable benefits to the research community through the flow of information resulting from engagement with the community in research projects and field exercises.
