Investigating User Experience with VR-Based Intelligent User Interfaces_Tech Demo
This demonstration provides an overview of a virtual reality (VR)-based emergencyresponse scenario and prototype of an intelligent user interface that allows users to interactwith information presented through a VR-based heads-up display (HUD). The VRscenario, which simulates a metro incident, has been developed by gatheringrequirements and feedback from our partner public safety organization. It includes threemissions and additional parameters for evaluating the impact of intelligent userinterfaces on performance and user experience. We will demonstrate the VR scenarioand showcase how users can interact with the prototype HUD using VR controllers anda speech-based interface.
