Field station located on Brooksville Road near Shepard Street in Chevy Chase, Maryland (three miles away from Connecticut Avenue)
The Connecticut Avenue grounds were running out of room. So they started operating field stations to perform tests.
Another field station was located at Kensington, Maryland approximately five miles north of the Bureau. A lot of the ionospheric sounding experiments were done here.
They also started using a large field site at Beltsville, Maryland.
