The Story of an Old Timer: Electron Tubes

Another productive effort during the war years was improvement and incorporation of electron tubes "of the DeForest type" let by Dr. Kolster (who worked with him).

Electron tubes were created that were incorporated into amplifiers, generators, and detectors. They were made resilient to be used in the field on ships and in planes, over 40 classified (unpublished) papers for the Signal Corps were produced and seven published papers on this subject alone.
