OWM Contacts System

The Office of Weights and Measures (OWM) Contacts System is a U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC) system managed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to provide Weights and Measures Officials; Industry Representatives; National Work Group (NWG) Members; and the public with a system for registering for OWM training classes and for requesting, downloading, and/or reviewing a wide variety of weights and measures technical materials and publications. Users may also use the system to update their personal information or to access their personal training history. Users may also use the system to participate in working group activities, including commenting on proposed revisions to laws, regulations, standards, international recommendations, NIST handbooks, and other documents.

You Must Register Online To Create An Account in the OWM Contacts System

Before you request training or publications or use other features of the OWM Contacts System you must request an account at: https://tsapps.nist.gov/WMD/default.aspx. The procedure is easy to follow and includes a series of messages and user prompts to guide you through the process. To ensure accuracy you are provided an opportunity to review and correct the information you entered prior to clicking the “submit” button.
