Job and Organization Description: Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Information Technology Laboratory
Post-secondary positions provide for development and training in a specific field. Assignments become more responsible as the incumbent increases knowledge and skills through work experience and academic training.
Geographic Region: Duty station will be Anywhere in the US
Salary Range: For ZP-I: $32,589 - $58,054 Per Year
For ZP-2: $46,696.00 to $82,854.00 Per Year

For ZP-I Consideration:
You must be a student accepted for enrollment in a high school or General Education Diploma (GED) program or enrolled and seeking a degree.
For ZP-II Consideration: Graduate
You must be a student accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree.
In additional to the above, applicants must meet one of the following requirements: Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education or Eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement Provision and completion of a bachelor's degree.
Student Trainee Computer Science
For ZP-I Consideration:
You must be a student accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree in Computer Science OR a degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and at least 15 of the 30 semester hours include any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
For ZP-II Consideration: Graduate
You must be a student accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree in Computer Science OR a degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and at least 15 of the 30 semester hours include any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.

Job and Organization Description: Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Office of Financial Management Resources
In this position, the incumbents will review the accuracy and properness of vendor invoices (contracts, purchase orders, & miscellaneous document types), ensure compliance to Federal Acquisition Regulations, Prompt Payment Act, & Federal Travel Regulations. Once validated, process billing, collection & other financial transactions into the accounting system. Review purchase orders/contracts for processing of payments & actively seeks to resolve barriers to processing. Prepare & distribute assigned reports. Reconciliations performed consistently & accurately in accordance with prescribed procedures & due dates. Corrective actions consistently brought to your supervisor's attention. Works to close out expired PO's/Contracts; performs final reconciliation. Under supervisory direction, resolves payment discrepancies, process document corrections, recommend corrective action & follows through completion. Participate on project teams to reconcile & clear financial transactions & outstanding account balances.
Geographic Region: Duty station will be in Gaithersburg, Maryland
Salary Range: $32,589 - $76,459 per year
Minimum Qualification: To qualify, you must have received a bachelor's or advanced degree from an institution of higher education no later than 2 years after receiving the degree in a related field (you will be required to provide transcripts)
