This page contains links to examples of paper ballots from a breadth of state and local jurisdictions for 1998-2006 elections. Many of these ballots were originally collected by Dr. Richard G. Niemi of the University of Rochester. We appreciate his willingness to share them with the public at large.  (most of the examples provided below are scanned images)

NIST researchers use this resource to formulate guidelines and test procedures that will improve the usability and accessibility of voting systems. We thank the election officials who have contributed to this effort.
