Recent Graduates Program

Start your career at NIST with the Recent Graduates Program. This program offers full-time opportunities for individuals who have completed a qualifying academic program and are ready to transition into the federal workforce. Recent graduates receive hands-on experience, guided development, and career growth opportunities within NIST’s mission-focused environment.

Eligibility

You may be eligible to apply if you:

• Have completed a qualifying degree or certificate program within the past two years. (Veterans may apply up to six years after completion if military service prevented earlier eligibility)
• Meet the OPM qualification requirements for the advertised position
• Are a U.S citizen, when required for conversion into the competitive service 

What you’ll get
