OAAM's mission is to deliver effective and efficient business services for NIST acquisitions, cooperative agreements/grants and interagency agreements. OAAM services support the accomplishment of NIST scientific missions in a manner that preserves the public trust.
OFPM is responsible for facility activities and services, including: space and real property management; facilities planning; building design, construction and renovation; building system operation, maintenance and repair; central plant operation and utility distribution services; grounds maintenance; janitorial services; oversight and support for NIST construction grants, facilities support services including mail, reproduction, transportation, visual communications; logistics and personal property management; security and emergency response services, including physical security, access control, emergency preparedness, and fire protection.
The OFRM mission is to increase the value of NIST and Commerce resources. By increasing the value of NIST resources we are supporting the NIST Operating Units in their quest to promote U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness. By increasing the value of Commerce resources we are supporting our customer agencies in the fulfillment of their missions.
OHRM provides a variety of HR services and solutions to assist NIST in hiring and retaining top talent. OHRM also provides services in the following areas: Workforce Planning and Analysis; HR Strategy and Accountability; Recruitment, Retention, and Relocation Advice and Services; Staffing Advisory Services; Employee Relations Advisory Services; Labor Relations Advisory Services; Incentive Awards and Employee Recognition; Personnel and Payroll Action Processing; Employee Benefits; Employee Assistance Program; Executive Resources; Retirement; Leave and Pay Advice and Assistance; Performance Management; Leadership and Employee Development/Training; and Workers' Compensation.
OISM ensures and provides appropriate supporting infrastructure, IT security, applied research, and assistance to NIST staff, collaborators, and clients in the conduct of NIST’s scientific, engineering and administrative programs and in the dissemination of information.
OSHE's mission is to help reduce safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) risks at NIST by planning, developing and maintaining, supporting the implementation of, overseeing compliance with, and continually improving NIST’s SH&E programs. In doing so, OSHE will enable NIST to carry out its mission effectively and efficiently while protecting the worker, the public, and the environment and complying with applicable laws and regulations.
