Abstract:

A skilled and knowledgeable workforce is a critical pillar of an effective privacy program, but demand is outpacing supply. The NIST Privacy Workforce Public Working Group (PWWG) has gathered hundreds of experts from around the world to create task, knowledge, and skill statements aligned with the NIST Privacy Framework and NICE Framework to support the development and recruitment of a robust workforce capable of managing privacy risk. In this session, hear from PWWG leadership about this collaborative effort, including key insights and challenges with workforce development, and how to get engaged to build this community resource.
