3HE BIG BLUE
The bottom loading Big Blue
is a 3He based cryostat with a large sample space and can reach temperatures less than 400mK. Sample change can only be done at room temperature. A tail set containing two quartz windows can be used for SANS experiments. This cryostat is also useful for its large sample space compared to other low temperature systems. The preparation of the system must be at least 1 week before the experiment starts. Sample environment staff should be contacted well in advance.
