This advisory committee is no longer in operation. As part of a government-wide review of Advisory Committees mandated by Executive Order 13875, the NIST Smart Grid Advisory Committee was dissolved on September 30, 2019.

The Committee provides input to NIST on Smart Grid standards, priorities, and gaps, on the overall direction, status, and health of the Smart Grid implementation by the Smart Grid industry, and on the direction of Smart Grid research and standards activities. The duties of the Committee are solely advisory in nature in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act.
