Multimedia A inteligência artificial está transformando a cibersegurança e a proteção de dados de uma forma que vai muito além da simples automação cipher
Multimedia Cybersecurity is often perceived as a purely technological or organizational concern, but in reality, it is deeply human. Every digital interaction—whether sending a message, clicking a link, or sharing personal information—reflects human behavior and psychology. This is where cyberpsychology plays a critical role. By studying how people think, feel, and act in digital environments, cyberpsychology provides insights into why individuals fall prey to social engineering, neglect security practices, or become vulnerable to manipulation online.

Creating awareness through cyberpsychology helps individuals understand not only the “how” but also the “why” behind cyber risks. It empowers people to recognize patterns of deception, manage digital impulses, and adopt healthy cyber habits—ultimately strengthening personal and collective cyber hygiene.

Cybersecurity must no longer be viewed as a specialized subject belonging only to IT teams or organizations. It is a social topic, a shared responsibility, and a life skill that belongs to every human being in today’s connected world. Just as hygiene protects physical health, cyber hygiene protects digital well-being, safeguarding families, communities, and societies. Through cyberpsychology, we can foster a culture of mindful, responsible digital behavior that transforms cybersecurity from a technical safeguard into a human-centric social practice.

Multimedia I will have an article published with title "Measuring What Matters: How to "Quantify Cyber Security Effectiveness"! in ISC2 member insights. After so many years working in cybersecurity, I realized many times in my career that “success” isn’t just about stopping attack, it’s about being able to measure how well we are doing it. That’s where information security metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) come in. For me, these are not just numbers, they are the story of our organization’s security posture, a way to see, in real time, how effectively we are preventing, detecting, and responding to threats.
Security metrics are not limited to only incident response times. According to me, it must include all sub-team efforts of a CISO team. There are many types of cyber security metrics that can provide concrete data to justify security investments.
Examples of security metrics include but are not limited to coverage metrics, Threat and vulnerability metrics, Operational metrics, Compliance & Governance metrics, Risk based metrics, Board / Executive Leadership metrics etc.

Multimedia Exploring the Intersections of Digital Divide, Specification Gap, Public Security, and Cybersecurity: An Innovative Approach Chapter IEEE Morocco
Speaking engagement I will be presenting at LASCON (Lonestar Application Security Conference). My talk will be around how traditional Appsec has to extend the tools, technology and methodology to perform secure SDLC activities like SAST/DAST/SCA/Pentest . for example any conventional software is deterministic, meaning the same input always produces the same output but, Generative AI models, are often non-deterministic, leading to different outputs for the same input. so traditional software typically remains static unless explicitly updated but AI applications continuously learn and evolve, potentially introducing new vulnerabilities and behaviors over the time.
So application Security teams will have to evolve and fill the skill gaps to test AI applications. AI supercharges DevSecOps by automating repetitive tasks, detecting vulnerabilities faster, and predicting threats based on patterns and anomalies. AI-powered tools scan code, configurations, and dependencies in real time to identify vulnerabilities. Machine learning models predict potential attack vectors by analyzing historical data. I would like to explain how AI-boosted Appsec tools can help to save time and efforts.

This session will discuss Artificial Intelligence and how it is being used by large enterprises, small companies and governments from across the globe. This presentation will focus on two distinctive approaches of the United States and the European Union. While the U.S. is focusing on innovation, the EU prioritizes protection of human rights, and risk classification. Innovation without appropriate guardrails can create more risks. Excessive regulation can impede advancement in technology.
Join us to discuss the future of AI from the point of view of progress and accountability.
