Description

Can you out-talk a cyber defender? Temple University’s CARE Lab (Cybersecurity in Application, Research, and Education Lab) invites you to test your social engineering skills in this year’s Vish Challenge during NICE Cybersecurity Career Week. Here’s how it works: Register by Oct. 10. Between Oct. 11–12, all teams will receive their flags and instructions. Plan your attack. Craft your vish scripts, experiment with text-to-speech tools, and map out your persuasion tactics in a flowchart. Submit your materials by Oct. 17. Include your scripts, tools, and flowchart design. Make the call. During Oct. 20–25, each team will receive a dedicated time window to “call in” to the CARE Lab. Your goal: capture the flags without being stopped. But beware: this isn’t a scripted performance. Expect pushback, curveballs, and unanticipated hurdles. Can your voice—and your improvisation—hold up under pressure? Register, prepare, and see if you have what it takes to persuade your way to victory.
