Instructions for booking will be provided after applications have been accepted.

Please do not book lodging until you have been accepted into the school and instructed to do so.

Air Travel and Car Rental:

Participants that have been approved for financial assistance should follow the instructions in the Financial Assistance Information. Participants not approved for financial assistance should make their own arrangements.

There are three major airports in the Baltimore/Washington DC area: Reagan National Airport (DCA), Washington Dulles Airport (IAD) and Baltimore/Washington International (BWI).

Transportation between the airport and hotel:

For students flying into Reagan National or Dulles, the Washington DC Metro is a good option. Reagan National has a subway station located at the terminal. A short bus ride takes you to a subway station from Dulles. To arrive at the Shady Grove Station on the "Red Line" takes roughly 60 minutes from either airport. Please check WMATA for the most recent schedule and fare information.  The hotel is a short taxi ride from Shady Grove Metro.

Transportation between the hotel and NIST:

Transportation to and from the hotel will be provided by NIST daily. Departure times will be posted once the schedule is finalized.
