Each NIST vacancy announcement includes an Agency Contact who can assist applicants with questions about the application process for that specific posting. The Agency Contact’s name, email address, and phone number appear at the bottom of the vacancy announcement in USAJOBS.

Applicants are encouraged to reach out for assistance with:

  • Clarifying which documents are required for the hiring path claimed
  • Requesting a reasonable accommodation for the application process
  • Reporting technical issues with USAJOBS before the announcement closes
  • Asking about the status of a previously submitted reconsideration request
