NOTICE TO USERS
The NCNR resumed reactor operations in May following an extensive repair, maintenance, and upgrade project. A new call for proposals will be issued once a detailed operating schedule is established.
NEWS FOR NCNR USERS
CHRNS Grad Student/Post-Doc Travel Assistance - CHRNS is pleased to offer U.S. university-based graduate students and postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to request travel support to come to the NCNR for collaborative experiments on CHRNS instruments. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis but available funding is limited. Travel grants of varying amounts will be awarded until the available CHRNS funding for this effort is depleted.
32nd CHRNS Summer School on Neutron Scattering - An in-person school will be hosted at the NCNR from July 27-31, 2026, and focus on methods and applications of small angle neutron scattering and neutron reflectometry.
The deadline to apply is March 9, 2026.
Facility Upgrades During the Unplanned Outage will improve the collective data rate for the NCNR instrument suite by more than a factor of 2.
