Registration Information

If there are any questions about the registration, please contact Dr. Yun Liu.

Students can register for either credit or audit.

For-credit students:

For students who take this for credit, the student’ attendance will be recorded for each lecture. And all homework/quiz will be graded. A letter grade will be assigned at the end of the course.

Note that if students registering for this course also take this course as a credit course at their own home university, the final grade will be provided to the responsible faculty at the home university. In this case, students should contact the responsible faculty at their home university for their final grade after the semester.

The number of spots for for-credit students is limited to 50 with the priority given to students in North America.

(IMPORTANT: It is up to each student’s own university to decide if the home university can approve this course as an equivalent course in the university. Students have to discuss this with the responsible faculty at their university if some arrangements need to be done at the university. If there are questions, please contact Dr. Yun Liu)

For-audit students:

Students, who select audit, are recommended to attend each lecture, and finish the homework and quizzes as much as possible even though these are not required.

We do not have enough resources to grade homework and quizzes of audit students. However, we will provide the solutions for homework/quizzes so that students can check their own homework/quizzes.

Prerequisites:

This is an introductory level graduate course which requires a science or engineering B.S. degree.

Co-requisites:

None
