Increase Revenue Stream with AS9100D Compliance

About

Established in 2012 in Salt Lake City, CNC Pros started as a modest family CAD/CAM business that has grown into a successful machine shop with a blend of work from prototypes, tool & die, all the way up to aerospace. CNC Pros has a small but amazing team of driven people all learning to do more and each making the company what it is today. The CNC Pros team takes great pride in their work and takes the time and effort to make things right regardless of the customer and looks forward to the next challenge.

The Challenge

CNC Pros had quickly outgrown their current facility due to the company's need for more capability with new machines and equipment every year since 2017. CNC Pros leadership wanted to strengthen and increase their revenue stream by becoming compliant and certified to AS9100D.

We have really appreciated working with iMpact Utah and everything they have done for us. They have helped us see our shortcomings and implement systems that have improved our processes drastically. With their help, we have been able to improve our systems within six months which would have taken us years to see and implement.
— Andy Martin, Partner, CNC Pros

MEP's Role

iMpact Utah, part of the Utah MEP and the MEP National Network™, worked closely with the key members of The CNC Pros team to develop, train, and implement a quality management system that meets the requirements of AS9100D. The following goals were achieved: understanding of the AS9100D quality manual and the requirements listed within it; development of quality management system; management review meeting (one of the key requirements for AS9100D); trained shop floor employees on the quality management system; and developed a problem-solving process (8D) for handling non-conformance
