Business growth projections pointed to a need for process improvements and workforce development to keep pace with demand and to enhance the customer experience. For help Fenner contacted MANTEC, part of the Pennsylvania MEP and the MEP National Network™.

MEP's Role
Fenner set a goal to measurably improve value streams beyond the shop floor. Leveraging a grant and its long-held partnership with MANTEC, Fenner and MANTEC set up an in-house lean certification training for 12 administrative and IT associates. The 6-month course focused on three Fenner projects, defined and developed using newly acquired lean tools.
