ISO 9001:2015 Risk Assessment Training with Check-All Valve Manufacturing

About

Check-All Valve, of West Des Moines, Iowa, employs thirty people making check valves for the sanitary, petroleum, and food markets.

The Challenge

With new requirements added to the updated ISO standard Check-All needed help understanding and updating their systems before the recertification deadline. With only 31 staff at the time, they lacked both expertise and time to dig into and understand the requirements themselves. Check-All trusted CIRAS would give them an unbiased solution and help the company become stronger in the long run.

There were new requirements in the ISO 9001:2015 standard. With CIRAS’s expertise and assistance in complying with the new requirements, we were able to efficiently pass re certification. We greatly appreciate your assistance and would recommend your services to others.

MEP's Role

Iowa Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS), part of the MEP National Network™, was able to help Check-All maintain and update its ISO certification through training and assistance regarding risk management analysis. Maintaining certification is a requirement of a large portion of the company's existing customer base, and also a requirement of several targeted new customers at the time. Getting the updates and management risk procedures in place allowed them to easily pass recertification.
