A method for the synthesis of bi- and polycyclic hydrocarbons

March 5, 1987
Author(s)
Anzor Mikaia, Leonid S. Glebov, Vladimir G. Zaikin, Alexey Yatsenko, OA Lesik, George A. Kliger, Sergai Loktev
Reaction gas chromatography-mass spectrometry is applied to establish optimal conditions for the synthesis of bi- and polycyclic hydrocarbons. Further optimization of the reaction was carried out in a pilot plant.

Viscometer for low frequency, low shear rate measurements

August 1, 1986
Author(s)
Robert F. Berg, Michael R. Moldover
We describe a torsion-oscillator viscometer whose low frequency ( 0.5 Hz) and very low shear rate (0.05 s-1) are required for measurements of shear sensitive fluids such as microemulsions, polymer melts and solutions gels, and liquid mixtures near critical

Mechanism of Gas-Phase Hydrogenation of Alicyclic Ketones on Iron Catalyst: Effective

May 1, 1985
Author(s)
Anzor Mikaia, Leonid S. Glebov, Vladimir Smetanin, Vladimir G. Zaikin, George A. Kliger, Sergai Loktev
Mechanism of gas phase hydrogenation of cyclopentanone and cyclohexanone over a fused iron catalyst by "Reaction GC-MS" presented. The study involves on-line deuterogenation and on-column silylation of reaction products. It is established that cyclanone
