Breton Works with AIM to Achieve ISO Goals

Breton Industries Inc. manufactures a wide range of vinyl products, including blast, fragmentation, ballistic, and fire-resistant curtains and blankets. These products are supplied to commercial customers, the oil and gas industry, and military and law enforcement organizations.

Hyperbaric Technologies Inc. (HTI), a separate manufacturing company operating within the same facility, designs and manufactures soft-sided vinyl hyperbaric chambers. These chambers are sold through medical distributors and are primarily used in the wellness industry for hyperbaric pressure therapy.

Although they serve different markets, both organizations leverage their expertise in sewing, heat sealing, and vinyl fabrication to manufacture high-quality, application-specific products.

Both Breton and HTI need to continue complying with their Quality Management System (QMS) and other industry requirements, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14385. Prompt and thorough communication and analysis of any findings or requests during external or internal audits are critical to the success of the product lines and the Quality Management System at Breton and HTI.

Through AIM Senior Manufacturing Consultant Mike Marusic, support was provided to the company to maintain and update QMS processes and documentation. Internal audits were conducted to ensure compliance with requirements. Internal findings were closed out via the CAR system. Procedures and personnel training were updated in response to changes resulting from these findings. Assistance was provided for audits conducted by external agencies, and further QMS consulting was provided via a combination of in-person, phone, and e-mail communications.
