Napoleon Machine is a leading provider of manufacturing services, including customizable metal fabricating, precision machining, painting, and light assembly. Serving a wide range of clients from the aerospace, agricultural, and automotive industries to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Machine Building, the company has invested over twelve million dollars in new equipment and technology over the past decade. As a family-owned and operated business, Napoleon Machine benefits from the leadership of two generations, strengthening its commitment to advancing manufacturing technology.

The Challenge

Napoleon Machine, like many companies in the manufacturing industry, faced significant challenges with employee development and retention. The company needed to understand how employees respond to challenges, influence and communicate with each other, and how they can best create a highly productive workplace culture and environment. By gaining this understanding, Napoleon Machine aimed to improve internal communication, increase productivity, and enhance overall performance.
We contracted this service with the hopes of allowing our leadership team to learn more about how we operate as individuals, but also to understand how our team members operate, communicate, and function most effectively. We were able to work with CIFT and CTE, LLC to create a more informed leadership team and equip ourselves with tools to better lead our team in all capacities. It is easy to get "stuck in the mud" with the day-to-day grind, but we challenged ourselves to continue meaningful professional development for our team, and this assessment/exercise achieved exactly that. MEP's Role

To support Napoleon Machine, we partnered with Contract Training Edge LLC to implement an Everything Dominance, influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness (DiSC) development tool for their employees. This program helped facilitate behavioral analysis changes and improve performance through a targeted four-step process. The DiSC program was designed to enhance communication effectiveness among staff, leading to more productive interactions and better outcomes throughout the organization. The DiSC program assessment provided valuable insights and support for Napoleon Machine supervisors in their self-development. It helped participants understand their behavior styles within the DiSC quadrant and recognize their colleagues’ styles. This understanding enabled different styles to collaborate more effectively, fostering stronger teamwork and improved performance. Better communication resulted in more effective collaboration and increased productivity, creating a more cohesive and efficient workplace.
