Maumee Pattern Collaborates with CIFT for Comprehensive Cybersecurity Assessment and Training Amid Growing Digital Threats

Maumee Pattern, located in Toledo, Ohio, specializes in the design and manufacturing of high-quality foundry patterns and molds that are essential for creating metal castings. This family-owned company, with over 110 years of history, works across a wide range of industries, customizing designs to meet even the most complex casting requirements.

Given the current landscape of cybersecurity threats, Maumee Pattern was focused on safeguarding their digital environment, recognizing existing gaps and the need for compliance. Company representatives asked about their options while exploring other potential opportunities through CIFT and decided to proceed with a full cybersecurity assessment and training.

Providing assistance on this project was Techsolve, an Ohio MEP partner. Techsolve conducted a comprehensive cybersecurity gap assessment, including reviewing current company policies, response plans, storage and encryption methods, and disaster recovery strategies. Next, they collaborated with Maumee Pattern to implement action steps such as an Incident Response Plan, defining Roles and Responsibilities, and providing training to key employees. Finally, they conducted a simulation of a cybersecurity attack and the recovery efforts.
