Partnering with CIFT Leads to Improved Efficiency and Product Quality

Nestled in the heart of the Midwest is the headquarters of Rudolph Foods, which includes the main pellet production plant and a packaging facility. Lima, Ohio, known as the “Pork Rind Capital of the World,” is the center of operations and the hometown of the Rudolph family. Several other facilities are located around the world for this 70-year-old company with over 600 employees.
The Challenge
To improve process efficiency and product quality, Rudolph partnered with CIFT in 2021 to implement an AI-powered predictive analysis model. However, it was quickly found that Rudolph's manual data collection systems were neither fast nor consistent enough to support the ongoing operation of the model. Rudolph needed a reliable, quick, and accurate way to measure the moisture content of their product.
CIFT is a great team with tremendous amounts of industry knowledge.
MEP's Role
CIFT collaborated with Rudolph to evaluate various methods for automatic rapid moisture content measurement and to select the most effective method and meter. Once chosen, CIFT helped Rudolph with procurement and integration of the meter.
