The Challenge

In late 2021, Renew Energy (now branded as a division of TAKKION) reached out to SD Manufacturing & Technology Solutions (SDMTS), part of the MEP National Network™, to help them prepare for and audit to be certified to the ISO 9001 standard. Successfully achieving/maintaining these standards was critical to Renew's ability to demonstrate to its clients its ongoing to commitment to quality.
Brad at SD Manufacturing & Technology Solutions provided a great framework to help us become ISO certified. He was always open to our suggestions and requests and was really easy to work with. Since being certified, we have had quite the decrease in warranty claims, which I believe comes from having a better structured quality management system.

MEP's Role

Over the next several months, Renew worked with Brad Fischer, a business advisor for SDMTS. With Brad's nearly 30 years of experience in manufacturing, he was able to assist Renew on the creation of manuals, procedures, and work instructions that would prepare them for certification to the ISO 9001 standard.
