Formpak Incorporated – Becoming Iso 9001:2015 Certified

FormPak, a company founded in 1968 by engineers from the Monsanto Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri, has evolved into a leading provider of dry material handling and packaging systems. In addition to their specialization in bulk bag handling and Super Sack® systems, FormPak has expanded its product line to include flexible screw conveyors, small bag break stations, and screw and vibratory feeders. With a dedicated team of over 30 full-time employees and experienced contractors, including a professional engineer, FormPak boasts over 100 years of combined experience in the dry materials field. FormPak felt its current processes were not robust or connected in any way, so they had a conversation with a Missouri Enterprise Area Business Manager, who suggested a GAP analysis which would help to determine their current performance compared to its potential or desired performance. This analysis informed FormPak that they indeed had some gaps in their processes.  After a discussion of the GAP analysis, the conversation led to ISO certification, which would improve their processes as well lead to the possibility of opportunities working with other ISO-certified customers.  “FormPak has had a long history with Missouri Enterprise and has appreciated the former work completed, so we turned to Missouri Enterprise to help with ISO certification.”
