CITE Armored is a state-of-the-art armored vehicle manufacturing company located in Holly Springs, Mississippi. In addition to state-of-the-art manufacturer, CITE Armored offers products for physical buildings such as security doors and windows. Even after years of use, CITE Armored offers any part replacements or refurbishments needed, whether the vehicle was originally completed by CITE Armored or someone else!

The Challenge

MMA-MEP Center at MSU CAVS Extension (MSU-CAVS-E), part of the MEP National Network™, has worked with CITE Armored on other projects in the past. When their customer orders increased and outpaced capacity, CITE Armored turned to MSU-CAVS-E to propose a solution.  CITE Armored was considering layout changes and a possible plant expansion.

MMA-MEP Center at MSU-CAVS-E has always been very attentive to our manufacturing changing demands as CITE Armored has grown over the years.  MMA-MEP Center at MSU-CAVS-E has been a valued source for expert plant engineering assistance since 2010.

MEP's Role

MMA-MEP Center at MSU CAVS Extension worked with CITE Armored staff to understand and document current production challenges. Based on an evaluation of their existing facility and product mix, MSU-CAVS-E determined that their current facility could not support the customer demand for both vans and trucks. MSU-CAVS-E recommended moving the van production to an alternate facility. CITE Armored purchased a building in Batesville, MS and moved the van production to the new building. The additional capacity and 70,000 square feet has helped position CITE Armored for future growth on a global scale.
