Masterclasses led to new investments and cost savings

About

49th State Brewing Co. is an Alaska-based company with three locations-- one each in Anchorage, Denali and the Rail. The brewery, begun in 2010, specializes in craft beer and Bavarian food.

The Challenge

49th State Brewing Co. was interested in implementing new processes to strengthen its supply chain efforts and lead to cost savings. For help company leadership turned to the Alaska MEP, part of the MEP National Network™.
The Alaska MEP team assisted in increasing our capacity through the Masterclasses offered which led to an increase in sales and new investments. I am very grateful for the classes offered through Alaska MEP and would highly recommend them to others.
— Andy King, Brewing Operations Manager

MEP's Role

The Alaska MEP brought in a third-party contractor to host a Supply Chain Masterclass for hand-selected manufacturers who were in need of strengthening their supply chain. The six-week class, brought in high-level expertise to share tips and tricks on different ways to manage their supply chain, and solutions that they could implement right away to save them both time and money. The Alaska MEP was able to discount this course for 49th State Brewing Co. which led them to save money on needed information to continue to grow.
