The Challenge

Mehler approached GENEDGE Alliance, part of the MEP National Network™, requesting assistance in achieving IATF 16949:2016 certification making them more competitive to serve the auto industry following increased requirements for improvements to the quality management system.

GENEDGE’s unique ability to integrate resources allowed Mehler Engineered Products to successfully complete our certification for IATF 16949 on time, at budget, and was done so in such a manner that Mehler’s employees felt comfortable owning the system at the end. Thanks to GENEDGE’s support our market position is now stronger, we have streamlined our processes to facilitate improved client relations, and we are confident that these efforts will open the door for future growth objectives in Southern Virginia.

MEP's Role

GENEDGE facilitated all aspects of Mehler's transformation from ISO9001-2015 to IATF 16949 by identifying high-quality third-party consultants, arranging for a GAP analysis of their existing system and clearly defining a schedule for training, review, and workshop sessions focused on finalizing the necessary improvements.
