The Challenge

MEP's Role

SCMEP, part of the MEP National Network™, was able to provide a train the trainer package for powered industrial trucks. The instructor worked with the site representative to customize the package for materials required at the location. The material could include sit-down and stand-up warehouse forklifts, order-pickers, tuggers, utility carts, and walk-behind and powered pallet jacks. The class taught participants how to perform the training and go through materials. The materials included an in-depth PowerPoint, training video, top 10 forklift accident video, hazard recognition challenge, test, and answer sheet for powered industrial trucks. The package included inspection forms for the daily/pre-shift walk-around.
