The Challenge
As part of CHT, the plant was required to become certified to the international ISO 14001:2015 standard. They reached out to GENEDGE, part of the MEP National Network™, to provide an environmental assessment of their facility's compliance to the most recent revision of the standard.
GENEDGE has influenced multiple projects over recent years. From ISO 14001 certification, to starting our lean/5S journey, to OSHA 10 training – we’ve had nothing but positive experiences that propelled our company to new levels in each of those areas. We were also fortunate enough to be paired up with an expert in the environmental and safety fields that not only helped our company improve immensely, but also became a professional mentor to me.
MEP's Role
GENEDGE performed an onsite gap analysis with company personnel, a rigorous process that would identify existing gaps in CHT USA, Inc.’s, current environmental management system against criteria described by ISO 14001:2015. Written action plans were jointly developed to address these issues.
Subsequently they have utilized GENEDGE services for multiple projects including ISO 9001 and 14001 training, internal audit training, OSHA 10 training and certification, and lean awareness/ 5S training. All employees who complete the training courses receive certificates to provide evidence of competence.
