Connected with Non-Woven Polypropylene material

About

Alpine Fit LLC is a woman-owned fabric product manufacturer in Anchorage, Alaska, with fewer than 20 employees. Alpine Fit creates outdoor clothing for both men and women.

The Challenge

Alpine Fit LLC needed access to a hard-to-procure fabric, non-woven polypropylene material, to transition their operations to assist with producing surgical masks during the pandemic and to get a contract with the State of Alaska.
We are set up with a contract with the State of Alaska, for which I am very appreciative, and the surgical wrap masks made that possible.
— Jennifer Loofbourrow , Owner

MEP's Role

Alaska MEP connected the owner, Jennifer Loofbourrow, with non-woven polypropylene material from the local Providence Hospital to assist in her PPE efforts which led to a contract with the State of Alaska.

Alaska MEP sourced the extra material and were able to give it to Jennifer and her team to use to create surgical masks that can then be used by hospital staff and businesses in need during the pandemic. The material also helped them to get a contract with the state to produce high-quality masks.
