Valley Vision / Sacramento Valley Manufacturing Initiative

Valley Vision is a civic leadership organization serving the Sacramento Capital Region with a focus on improving livability for the region’s communities.

Valley Vision works across six impact strategies including a 21st Century Workforce Strategy to support employer needs and provide workers pathways to high-quality jobs through skills-building; and an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Strategy to support emerging and existing businesses for economic diversification and regional growth. Valley Vision is the host organization for SVMI.

Sacramento Valley Manufacturing Initiative (SVMI) is committed to working with educators and industry partners to proactively develop vocational, educational and workforce initiatives and programs leading to fulfilling manufacturing career paths for our region’s students and workforce. SVMI efforts are to ensure that the Sacramento area is viewed as a region of manufacturing excellence with a globally competitive manufacturing sector and a solid pipeline of skilled workers.

California’s Manufacturing Network, formed and managed by CMTC, provides a broad range of technical assistance services and resources to manufacturers throughout California.  It is a collaboration of more than 25 manufacturing-focused partners who assist CMTC in delivering a statewide Manufacturing Extension Partnership program. 

California’s Manufacturing Network serves more than 1,200 manufacturers annually, generating significant positive financial impacts for our clients and for the public good in California.  The Network measures its performance via third party administered client surveys which quantify satisfaction and impact.
