Science Afternoon From Invention to Use in the Real World

This past Wednesday, April 18, 2012, we had another Science Afternoon at NIST: From Invention to Use in the Real World with NIST Engineer Roger Bostelman and US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Technology Center Director for Design Patents Robert Olszewski.

Roger talked about his background, how he came to NIST - as a teenager - and the work he's done in designing and creating inventions for the past 30 years. After a tour of Roger's lab, teachers learned about the USPTOs efforts to protect inventions through the patenting process.
