Empowering Smart Grid Research
NIST's Smart Grid Testbed is designed to be agile and reconfigurable, with capabilities that combine virtual, physical, and hybrid systems to support a dynamic portfolio of smart grid interoperability research in areas such as sensors, control systems, cybersecurity, timing, and more. This research portfolio ensures that in a rapidly-changing grid landscape, NIST fulfills its Congressional mandate as provided in the Energy Independence and Security Act (Public Law 110-140).
