Kate Beers

Kate has been on the NIST staff since joining as an NRC Postdoctoral Fellow in 2000. She studied polymer chemistry in school, and led multiple research efforts in polymers and complex fluids, including sustainability-related projects, in the Materials Science and Engineering Division before joining the MML Lab Office to lead the circular economy program. She lives in Bethesda, Maryland, with her husband, two teenagers, and two shelter cats, Chuck Norris and Dorito.

Brandon Cornuke

Brandon Cornuke is vice president of strategy and vice president of startup services for MAGNET, which is part of the Ohio MEP and the MEP National Network. He is responsible for the Startup Services division – known as the Iterator – and leads the efforts to help innovators turn manufactured product ideas into growing businesses. He specializes in strategy development, business model design and lean innovation.

Jeff Marron

Jeff Marron is an IT Specialist at NIST.  He supports several NIST efforts, such as outreach to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) regarding cybersecurity, cybersecurity for the Internet of Things (IoT), and smart grid cybersecurity.  He previously supported the NIST Cybersecurity Framework project.  Prior to joining NIST, Jeff spent over 10 years working in IT Security within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).  Among other things, his work included conducting security engineering and integration work at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  In the more distant past, Jeff was an elementary school teacher of English as a Second Language in Maryland schools.

Meghan Anderson

Meghan Anderson is a privacy risk strategist with the Privacy Engineering Program at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, U.S. Department of Commerce. She supports the development of privacy engineering, international privacy standards, and privacy risk management guidance. Meghan has a Bachelor’s in Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security, and Cybersecurity with a concentration in Cybersecurity and a minor in Economics from the University of Albany, SUNY and a Master’s in Cybersecurity from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).
