AutoDimer
The web-based AutoDimer software was developed to rapidly screen previously selected PCR primers for primer-dimer and hairpin interactions in short DNA oligomers (< 30 nucleotides). AutoDimer was created to assist in developing multiplex PCR assays for forensic purposes for probing STR and SNP markers.
The original publication describing AutoDimer can be downloaded from Biotechniques. This paper can be referenced when using the multiplex PCR assay design tool.
