Michele L. Buckley (Fed)

Product Specialist

Michele has been a federal employee at NIST since 1989 with 35+ years of dedicated service. She was a Group Office Manager for three different divisions: Physics Division from 1989 – 1997, Building Environment Division from 1997-2000, and Office of Microelectronics Programs from 2000-2011. In 2011 she moved to the Office of Reference Materials (ORM) as a Product Specialist in the Sales and Customer Service Group (SCSG), where she still works today. 

In her current role, she provides service to both domestic and international customers. She is responsible for issuing quotes, fulfilling orders, and managing inquiries via phone, email, and eCommerce platforms. Her role also includes handling Standard Reference Instruments (SRIs), radioactive orders, federal agreements, as well as submitting and keeping track of GitLab requests to enhance eCommerce and Limestone (program for SRM orders) requirements. In addition, she actively identifies opportunities to optimize workflows, consistently striving to make processes both efficient and customer focused.
