Brandon Stacks is a mechanical engineer in the Biophysical and Biomedical Measurement Group. Brandon joined NIST in 2024 through a Johns Hopkins PREP postdoctoral fellowship and started the National Research Council postdoctoral fellowship in January of 2026.
Brandon's research focuses on the development of microfluidic platforms to characterize biological nanoparticles with high throughput. Prior to NIST, Brandon was a graduate student at Vanderbilt University, where he developed a microfluidic electrochemical flow capacitor to study hydrodynamic effects on flowable electrode charging.
