Division Functions

FACILITIES SERVICES DIVISION: Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of various support services such as Package and Mail delivery, Printing and Duplicating, Visual Arts, Transportation, Storeroom and Supply, Personal Property Management, campus amenities and janitorial services. GAITHERSBURG FACILITIES MAINTENANCE DIVISION: Responsible for managing and operating facilities for NIST Site in Gaithersburg ensuring maximum responsiveness to the needs of NIST programs. Those facility related activities include reimbursable engineering design and renovation; building systems operation and maintenance. Contact: 301-975-6900  

BOULDER FACILITIES MAINTENANCE DIVISION: Responsible for managing and operating facilities for NIST Sites in Boulder, Fort Collins and Kauai, ensuring maximum responsiveness to the needs of NIST, NOAA, and NTIA Technical programs. Those facility related activities include reimbursable engineering design and renovation; building systems operation and maintenance. Contact: 303-497-3420  

GAITHERSBURG DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION DIVISION: Manages and administers the construction and renovation program on the Gaithersburg site. Responsible for all projects that require architecture and engineering design support. Oversees and manages design and construction projects, to include new construction, alterations and renovations, and system repair and upgrade. Documents existing facility improvements. Coordinates and maintains As-Built drawings. Responsible for construction and renovation safety compliance. Works closely with other OFPM offices to provide facility and project planning, and coordinates facility issues with DoC and other agencies. Supports CAM's work in master facility planning (near-term and long-term), facility condition assessments, SCMMR project prioritization process, and analysis and oversight of energy conservation and facility sustainability. At the request of the Facilities Maintenance Division (FMD), will lend support to the NIST community by performing customer-requested work on a reimbursable basis for larger complex projects exceeding the capability of the FMD.
