Manufacturers of voting systems that cast individual ballots over a public telecommunications network shall provide detailed descriptions of:

a.  All activities mandatory to ensuring effective voting system security to be performed in setting up the system for operation, including testing of security before an election

b.  All activities that should be prohibited during voting equipment setup and during the timeframe for voting operations, including both the hours when polls are open and when polls are closed

TA7621a-1: IF a voting system is designed to allow casting individual ballots over a public telecommunications network THEN the voting system manufacturer SHALL provide detailed descriptions in the TDP of all activities mandatory to ensuring effective voting system security to be performed in setting up the system for operation.

 

 

TA7621a-1-1: Setting up the system for operation, SHALL include, but not be limited to, testing of security before an election.

 

TA7621b-1: IF a voting system is designed to allow casting individual ballots over a public telecommunications network THEN the voting system manufacturer SHALL provide detailed descriptions in the TDP of all activities that should be prohibited during voting equipment setup.

 

TA7621b-2: IF a voting system is designed to allow casting individual ballots over a public telecommunications network THEN the voting system manufacturer SHALL provide detailed descriptions in the TDP of all activities that should be prohibited during the timeframe for voting operations, including both the hours when polls are opened and when polls are closed.

 

TA7621b-2-1:  The timeframe for voting operations SHALL include the hours between when polls are opened and when polls are closed.
