Today marks the start of Cybersecurity Career Week, an effort to promote the discovery of cybersecurity careers and share resources that increase understanding of multiple learning pathways and credentials that lead to those careers.
Today begins with the official Cybersecurity Career Week Kick Off event. At 12-1:15pm ET at the US Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., both the House and Senate Cybersecurity Caucuses, SANS|GIAC, and NICE will hold an expert discussion on solutions to a skilled and diverse cybersecurity workforce.
During the event, new data from CyberSeek on the supply and demand of the U.S. cybersecurity workforce will be unveiled. Additionally, the Cybersecurity Career Ambassador Program, an effort to create a network of stakeholders who serve as champions to prepare, grow, and sustain a diverse and skilled cybersecurity workforce, will be launched.

The afternoon will continue with the US Cyber Team Draft event at 3:30-4:45pm ET at District E in Washington, D.C. The event will include exhibits highlighting cybersecurity careers. Watch the livestream to see who will join the Season III US Cyber Team that will compete in international competitions on behalf of the USA.
Today is the first day of the six-day #MyCyberJob Social Media Challenge. Join others in sharing your short videos, pictures, or stories on social media to help spread information about cybersecurity careers. Share at least one reason you love your job in cybersecurity each day of the week between October 16-21, 2023. We can’t wait to see your posts!
