United Rotary Brush was in need of help with a large, tactical detailed strategic plan and execution for their plant move from Lenexa to Olathe, KS. United Rotary Brush consolidated two buildings into one after lease ended for both locations. The Director of Supply Chain Management for United Rotary Brush relied on Kansas Manufacturing Solutions (KMS), part of the MEP National Network™, for competency and skill set. The company needed an experienced advisor to provide insight, ask the right questions, and challenge assumptions, all while providing oversight and a detailed project management plan for the move and relocation setup.

The primary focus of any project is to have it delivered successfully on time, under budget, and within scope. KMS provided the expertise needed to avoid scope creep, and keep the team focused on their goals. KMS also provided project management oversight, including planning and managing plant relocation from start to completion. This included, but was not limited to, developing a detailed project charter and a project plan, tracking costs, facilitating meetings, setting and managing expectations, and more. KMS managed expectations and communications with key stakeholders from United Rotary Brush and external vendors to ensure on time tracking and delivery within scheduled timeframes.
