Dodge Mechanical Power Transmission Company located in Greenville, South Carolina, is a manufacturer of large speed reducers and gear boxes for mining, grain handling, rock handling, baggage handling, and other heavy industries. The company employs approximately 580 people.
The Challenge
Maintaining registration to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standard is a requirement by many of Dodge’s customers. Failure to do so could lead to the loss of sales and jobs. The company was looking for on-site training for up to 15 employees.

MEP's Role
SCMEP, part of the MEP National Network™, was able to assist Dodge by providing training and consulting services to help the company maintain and improve their quality management system. This training was provided on-site over a two day period. The company is also a long-standing member of SCMEP’s OpExChange peer-to-peer benchmarking and best practices group. Dodge's involvement has resulted in the adoption of many operational improvements and investments.
