Bear Precision Coatings, located in Annville, Kentucky, is a multi-shift manufacturer operating from a 30,000-square-foot facility. The company is dedicated to providing world-class paint finishes tailored for the automotive industry. With a workforce exceeding 60 employees, the company anticipates further growth in 2024, driven by an upcoming collaboration with a leading European automotive manufacturer.
The Challenge
Starting out as a joint venture in 2021, with a new workforce and a budding culture, the leadership team had little experience together. Additional help was needed to train the leadership team and develop a culture capable of the growth they are anticipating in 2024.
I saw people grow in their confidence. I saw people who humbled themselves who thought they were hard-liners. You can see the difference, it’s had an impact on our culture.
MEP's Role
Bear Precision Coatings President Curt Rader engaged the Leadership Development experts at the Kentucky Manufacturing Extension Partnership, part of the MEP National Network™, to deliver a Leadership Series to two groups of frontline leaders. Through this series, the frontline leaders are able to better connect and communicate across the company, minimizing workplace conflict and improving perceptions.
