About
49th State Brewing Co. is an Alaska-based company with three locations-- one each in Anchorage, Denali and the Rail. The brewery, begun in 2010, specializes in craft beer and Bavarian food.
The Challenge
49th State Brewing Co. was interested in lean manufacturing and training that could help their staff ensure their processes maintain optimum efficiency.
The Alaska MEP continues to offer training dedicated to helping 49th State Brewing Co., grow and advance. I am grateful for my ability to participate in their latest Lean Green Belt certification and look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.
MEP's Role
The Alaska MEP, part of the MEP National Network™, brought in a third-party contractor to host a Green Belt Training and Certification for hand-selected manufacturers who were looking to improve efficiencies and cut waste. The 40-hour training brought in high-level expertise to train the class on ways to improve their processes and share solutions that they could implement right away to save them both time and money. The Alaska MEP was able to discount this course for 49th State Brewing Co. which led them to save money on needed information to continue to grow.
