Georgia Buy America Transit Supply Chain Connectivity Forum – October 11, 2017

The DOT Federal Transit Administration, the National Institute of Standards and Technology Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST MEP), and Georgia MEP, hosted a Buy America Transit Supply Chain Connectivity Forum in Atlanta, GA on October 11, 2017, at the American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) Annual Meeting and Expo.

NIST MEP Buy America Transit Supply Chain Forum – June 14, 2017

MD MEP held a U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Transit Administration NIST MEP Buy America Transit Supply Chain Forum in Baltimore, MD, on June 14, 2017. The objective of the Transit Supply Chain Connectivity Forum was to bring large transit OEMs and smaller, qualified and interested U.S. manufacturers together in an effort to facilitate the use of a higher percentage of domestic suppliers in transit products and systems that will be partially funded by taxpayer dollars. The Forum offered a venue for smaller manufacturers to learn what products are needed and find out more about investments they need to consider when entering the transit industry.

Arizona Transit Supply Chain Forum – June 22, 2016

The Buy America Transit Supply Chain Connectivity Forum was held at the Sheraton Grand in Phoenix AZ with 50 attendees. More than 40 were manufacturers who participated in speed networking with transit equipment manufacturers such as Alstom Transport, Siemens and Stadler Rail. The event featured remarks and rousing support for manufacturers in America from Senior Advisors to FTA Administrators and information from FTA Buy America Attorney Richard Wong, as well as Rev AZ (the MEP Center in AZ) and NIST MEP.

Utah Transit Supply Chain Connectivity Forum – June 24, 2015

The Buy America Transit Supply Chain Connectivity Forum was held at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, UT with 48 attendees. More than 30 were manufacturers who participated in speed networking with transit equipment manufacturers such as Alstom Transport, BAE Systems, Stadler Rail, and Wabtec. The event featured remarks and rousing support for manufacturers in America from Senior Advisor to FTA Administrator Federal Transit Administration and information from FTA Buy America Attorney Richard Wong as well as, Utah MEP and NIST MEP.

Texas Transit Supply Chain Connectivity Forum – October 15, 2014

The Buy America Transit Supply Chain Connectivity Forum was held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX with 80 attendees. More than 50 were manufacturers who participated in speed networking with transit equipment manufacturers such as Alstom Transport, BYD Motors, Motor Coach Industries, New Flyer, NovaBus, Proterrea, and Thermo King. The event featured remarks and rousing support for manufacturers in America from APTA President Michael Melaniphy and information from FTA Executive Director, Matthew Welbes as well as TMAC and NIST MEP.
