The DOT Federal Transit Administration, the National Institute of Standards and Technology Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST MEP), and Georgia MEP, hosted a Buy America Transit Supply Chain Connectivity Forum in Atlanta, GA on October 11, 2017, at the American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) Annual Meeting and Expo.
The objective of this Transit Supply Chain Connectivity Forum was to make connections among large transit OEMs, Tier 1 Suppliers, and smaller, qualified and interested U.S. manufacturers to help make the domestic supply chains of U.S. transit systems more robust. The Forum also provided insight into the current state of Buy America and domestic content requirements that apply to transit procurements that leverage federal funding.
This event was held in conjunction with the American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) Annual Meeting and Expo, October 8-11. 2017 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.
